This is beautiful. So much really resonated with where I am right now. "Fighting against yourself is not how you rest." This is the absolute truth. My struggle is thinking that we have to actively fight (everything! all the time!) because somehow fighting looks so noble. Fighting proves investment—fighting can be seen and is valued. But there is fighting against yourself and challenging yourself. Rest and reflection are often the hardest work and yield the biggest rewards as things unfold organically. I needed this. So much to practice. Thank you.
I am glad you found this little piece helpful Meegan! The effort is not always where we think it is. And resting maybe calls to dare to do something different.
The poetry in this chronicle really sang. I like that it takes a path less traveled, though no less valid. Looking forward to reading more from you, Camille xx
"That is how you rest the heart. Not by shutting down, but by living through every pulse with a bit of courage, a bit of quiet, and a lot of soul." I love this! This essay is filled with very helpful guidance. It was a pleasure to read.
Thank you for following me so I could see this post bc wow how it spoke to me! I've been shutting down myself my whole life and it takes a lot to unlearn and start feeling again. I'm still trying to convince myself to actually really try do it right but it's just so damn difficult to snap out of old habits. I won't give up tho! Thank you for reminding!
Thank you for your comment Jessica, I am so glad these words resonated with you, especially with what you are experiencing! Snapping out of habits is a matter of keep trying. The response will mostly not be perfect but like learning to stand on your hands, after countless attempts one day you will find a peaceful balance on your heart. Sending love ;)
Love it. The term "heart" is rarely used these days. It is overdominated by the "mind". However it is very important in your spiritual life. And the advices are solid, some of them were new, some I use every time I am out of tune. Works.
Brilliant! We are, after all, just self-aware dust in the wind.
That is a very poetic thought to embrace!
Stole it from a song. They stole it from the Bible.
Thankyou for expressing more of that heart feeling. Some follow their gut, for me I follow my heart. ❤️
The heart is a trustworthy companion, I am glad you are following its lead!

Thank you Brianna! I find that the main roads always lead to the same places. I like a little bit of unexpected and I sense that you too ;)

The heart needs a break, not a heartbreak (do we have a slogan here?)
